Residential Oxford summer English course for ages 12-17 with 15 weekly lesson hours, campus accommodation, meals, activities and UK excursions.
Oxford International Juniors' Oxford Brookes Harcourt Hill summer course gives students aged 12-17 a residential English language experience in Oxford. The programme includes 15 hours of English lessons per week, full-board campus accommodation, activities, and a two-week sample schedule with Oxford visits and full-day excursions to London, Stratford-upon-Avon or Warwick Castle.
Students aged 12-17 who want a residential English language summer course in Oxford, either as part of a group or as individual students.
Not ideal if you prefer non-residential or online study, or if you are outside the 13 to 17 age range. It may be less suited for students seeking highly specialised academic preparation beyond English language skills or those unable to participate in group excursions and activities. Also, students requiring classes with fewer than 12 participants for certain syllabuses may find limited options.
This programme offers a balanced mix of academic English instruction and cultural experiences in a university environment, which can support language development and global awareness in young learners. While it does not guarantee language proficiency outcomes, the structured lessons combined with excursions provide varied learning contexts. The residential format fosters independence and social skills but may not be suitable for all participants. Considering the range of activities and access to historic sites, the course may be a worthwhile option for motivated students within the appropriate age group and language levels.
