How Succeed works
What schools should know
Here’s how Succeed works and what it means for your school.
- What does Succeed actually help students do?
- Succeed helps students discover opportunities beyond school, understand what they involve, compare their options and keep track of the ones they are considering. That includes competitions, programs and other experiences from a wide range of organisations.
- How are opportunities sourced and reviewed?
- Succeed reviews information from both official sources and independent public sources to build a fuller picture of each opportunity. Our aim is to help students, parents and educators make informed, independent decisions, cutting through marketing language and presenting the information that actually matters. We distinguish between information published by an organisation and Succeed’s own assessment.
- How does Succeed make money?
- Students can use Succeed for free. Some organisations pay Succeed fees or commissions, including when a student enrols through Succeed. Where we have a commercial relationship with an organisation, we make that clear. This does not change how we review or present their opportunities.
- What does our school need to do?
- Very little. You can simply share Succeed with students as an additional resource. There is no requirement to review individual opportunities, manage student activity or administer applications or competition entries through Succeed. If you want to find easier ways of sharing with students, email schools@joinsucceed.com
- How is student information handled?
- We collect the information needed for students to use Succeed and for us to support them. We are clear about how that information is used and when it may be shared with an organisation offering an opportunity, with appropriate privacy and safeguarding protections in place.Student privacy & Safeguarding
