Entrepreneurial Minds: Dream. Build. Grow. is Appleby College's senior entrepreneurship enrichment course. Its design-driven approach explores how an idea can become a viable product or service while developing leadership and management skills.
Students collaborate on real-world challenges and create a full mock business plan. Hands-on projects sit alongside independent reflection, giving students practice in both team decisions and thoughtful individual work.
A full mock business plan gives students a concrete way to apply entrepreneurial ideas.

Classes capped at 15 students provide a small-group setting for discussion and collaboration.

This course offers a useful test of whether you enjoy turning creative ideas into structured business decisions. The mock business plan and team challenges give you specific experiences to reflect on when considering further Business Studies.
Its value depends on your willingness to contribute to group work and engage with a substantial classroom day. The central project is a mock business plan, so judge the experience by the thinking and collaboration you develop rather than expecting a finished operating business.

Senior Enrichment is designed for ages 15-17.
Participants are in Grades 9, 10, or 11.
High English language proficiency is required.
English language learners must self-identify when applying.
English language learners require an online language assessment before acceptance.

A typical day during the program.
Complete 1.5 hours of classroom time, followed by a break.
Complete another 1.5 hours of classroom time before lunch.
Return after lunch for 2.5 hours of classroom time.
Appleby's enrichment programs combine instructor-led learning with class discussions and group activities. Classes have a maximum of 15 students per session.
Participants without Before & After Care arrive at classrooms and leave independently; supervision ends with programming.

The course takes place on the Appleby College campus at 540 Lakeshore Road West in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. Families receive directions and classroom information in the welcome email one week before programming.
