Future Entrepreneur combines English-language development with an accessible introduction to entrepreneurship, marketing, customers and commercial decision-making.
Students learn through discussion, case studies and team challenges, then develop a simple business idea and present it during Time to Shine.
It suits idea-driven students who want practical Business English, collaborative project work and a full campus experience rather than advanced business theory.
Future Entrepreneur is an English-through-business summer program delivered by Summer Boarding Courses at Headington School in Oxford. It introduces entrepreneurship, marketing, customers, pricing and resources through discussion, case studies and creative problem-solving.
Students work individually and in teams while building the language needed to explain ideas and make decisions. The experience culminates in a collaborative business idea and presentation during the Time to Shine showcase.
The curriculum connects English development to concrete business decisions rather than teaching vocabulary in isolation.
A collaborative business pitch gives students a clear project that integrates customer thinking, teamwork and persuasive communication.
The program balances 15 academic hours per week with activities, excursions and structured campus life.
A maximum class size of 15 supports discussion and active participation.
Students leave with both a completion certificate and a personalized progress report.
Students who enjoy generating ideas and want to improve their English through teamwork, customer thinking and business presentations.
You want advanced finance or a purely academic course without English-language development, group work, activities or presentations.
It can be worthwhile for a student who wants a structured first encounter with entrepreneurship while developing practical English and presentation confidence. The pitch project, small classes and personalized report create more tangible value than a lecture-only introduction.
The limitation is depth: this is an accessible English-through-business program, not an advanced finance, economics or startup accelerator course. Families should also judge the substantial fee against how much the student values the wider residential or day-campus experience.
