Students make interactive Scratch games while learning variables, loops and events. Video sensing and Google's Teachable Machine add movement-based projects and an introduction to machine learning.
The learning experience combines instructor guidance, peer collaboration and independent creation. It suits children who enjoy experimenting with games and turning their own ideas into something playable.
Coding 101 Camp is iD Tech's online introduction to creative programming with Scratch. Students learn variables, loops and events by building interactive games, then explore video sensing and machine learning with Scratch Lab and Google's Teachable Machine.
The small-group experience combines live teaching and peer collaboration with self-paced project development. Students develop an original project, customize its features and playtest it with classmates at a showcase. An official iD Tech transcript records the skills learned.
Scratch makes programming concepts tangible through games students can build and play.
Video sensing and Teachable Machine connect coding to movement and recognizable everyday objects.
Independent project development gives students room to apply ideas beyond the live lesson.
Peer playtesting and a final showcase give projects an audience and a practical testing stage.
An official skills transcript provides a concrete record of the learning experience.
Children who enjoy games, creative experimentation and learning with peers, and want to turn an idea into an interactive project.
Your child wants advanced text-based programming, exclusively one-to-one instruction or a learning experience without independent project work.
The strongest reason to choose this camp is the combination of guided coding and a project your child can make their own. Games, video sensing and simple machine learning experiments offer several ways to discover which parts of computing they enjoy.
The daily independent work makes it a substantial commitment, so families should plan beyond the live lesson alone. Treat the transcript as a record of skills practiced; the most useful outcome is whether your child can explain, test and continue developing their project.
