Students learn how an idea becomes a business through workshops, case studies and practical group work, with attention to marketing, finance, company culture and responsible entrepreneurship.
The central project is an original team business concept refined across the course and presented in a Dragons’ Den-style finale to the wider summer-school community.
It suits curious aspiring entrepreneurs who want a structured academic course combined with electives, cultural trips, activities and international residential life.
The Business and Entrepreneurship Summer Programme is an ISSOS residential course built around turning ideas into workable business concepts. Interactive workshops, case studies and practical tasks introduce business planning, marketing, finance, branding, customer service, company culture and values-led enterprise.
Students work in small teams throughout the course, refining an original idea and practising how to communicate it. The experience culminates in a Dragons’ Den-style presentation to a panel and the wider summer-school campus.
The course builds towards a concrete team pitch rather than stopping at classroom theory.
Business content includes marketing, finance and company culture alongside social enterprise and responsible entrepreneurship.
Three-hour weekday academic classes provide sustained subject time across the residential programme.
Experienced teachers bring backgrounds in university teaching, consulting, strategy and entrepreneurship.
The academic option is combined with an elective, activities and cultural trips for a broader summer-school experience.
Students who want to test business and entrepreneurship through collaborative, presentation-led work in an international residential setting.
You want a low-cost day course, independent study or a narrowly technical finance curriculum without group pitching and wider summer-school activities.
The programme can be worthwhile for a student who learns best by doing: the team project makes business planning, market research and pitching tangible, while the academic-elective combination offers breadth. The final presentation also gives students a clear experience to reflect on later.
The main limitation is value for money. The all-inclusive residential structure covers far more than classes, but families focused only on subject tuition may find less expensive alternatives, and ISSOS does not offer financial aid or scholarships.
