    Gravity Camp summary

Gravity Camp turns questions about falling objects, planetary orbits and black holes into practical physics exploration.

Campers combine indoor experiments, creative engineering challenges and outdoor activities, with teamwork woven into the experience.

It suits curious children who enjoy building and testing ideas and want an active introduction to science.

    What is Gravity Camp?

Gravity Camp is Ridley College's physics-focused senior day camp. Campers explore the force behind falling objects and planetary orbits, then consider extreme environments such as black holes.

The experience combines hands-on experiments, creative engineering challenges and outdoor activities. Working with peers gives campers opportunities to test ideas, solve problems and build confidence while making abstract physics concepts more approachable.

    Why Succeed highlights Gravity Camp

    • The focused physics theme connects everyday falling objects with bigger questions about planets and black holes.

    • Experiments and engineering challenges give campers practical ways to explore scientific ideas.

    • Indoor labs and outdoor activities offer variety within a subject-focused camp.

    • Groups of no more than 20 campers and trained instructors support a more personal camp experience.

    • Daily hot lunches, nursing support and clear care hours help families plan the full day.

    Who is Gravity Camp for?

    Best for

Curious children who enjoy building, testing ideas and solving problems with others.

    Not ideal if

Your child prefers a mostly seated, theory-focused course or wants a camp centered on several unrelated subjects.

    Is Gravity Camp worth it?

Gravity Camp is a promising choice when a child's interest in science grows through making, testing and exploring. Its mix of experiments and outdoor activities gives families a practical alternative to classroom-style enrichment.

Its strongest value is exploratory learning and collaboration. Families seeking sustained academic depth should weigh whether a short camp can meet that goal and whether the full daytime schedule fits their routine.
