The 1:1 Product Development Fellowship is Inspirit AI's individual mentoring program for turning a real problem into an AI-powered app or tool. It combines artificial intelligence, product development, and entrepreneurship through a project shaped around a target user.
Students work with an experienced mentor from problem discovery and user research through app building and pitching. The practical goal is a functional product and a submission package tailored to a chosen competition, such as the Congressional App Challenge or Diamond Challenge.
The project starts with a real problem and target user, giving app building a clear purpose.
Individual mentoring connects product development with practical AI experience.
A functional product and tailored submission package provide concrete work students can explain.
Preparation covers the pitch and demo as well as the technical build.
Students who want individual support to turn an AI idea into a usable product and explain its value through a pitch or demo.
You mainly want a broad survey of AI theory or a shared classroom experience rather than an individual product project.
The fellowship is worth considering when individual guidance would help you move from an idea to a working product. Its strongest feature is the connection between user research, building, and communicating a solution.
The value depends on how well the mentor's experience matches your project and how much of the work you can confidently explain yourself. Competition preparation is useful support, but it does not guarantee an award or a stronger admissions outcome.
