King’s Business School teaches practical finance through company valuation, financial modeling, and deal structure. The module connects core concepts to a team acquisition plan.
Case studies, simulations, and experiments make this a useful introduction for learners who want to apply finance rather than only hear lectures. University-standard assessment adds academic substance to the experience.
Finance & Financial Markets Summer School is a practical undergraduate-level module delivered by King’s Business School. Drawn from its BSc in Accounting and Finance, it introduces company valuation, financial projections, and the financing and structure of acquisitions.
The campus-based experience combines academic teaching with case studies, simulations, and experiments. Students work in international teams to develop and present an acquisition plan, linking financial analysis to strategic business decisions.
The acquisition-plan project gives company valuation and financing a concrete purpose.
Teaching draws directly on King’s Business School’s Accounting and Finance curriculum.
Case studies, simulations, and experiments support practical understanding alongside academic concepts.
International teamwork develops collaboration skills as well as financial knowledge.
University-standard assessment provides a more demanding experience than a lecture-only introduction.
Learners new to finance who want to understand company value and acquisition decisions through assessed teamwork.
You want an advanced specialist finance course, a light sightseeing experience, or guaranteed transferable credit.
The strongest reason to choose this module is its combination of foundational finance and an applied acquisition project. It can help you test your interest in financial analysis while producing work you can discuss in later academic or career decisions.
Its value depends on engaging with the assessed work and international team experience. It is an introductory module rather than specialist professional training, and any credit transfer requires approval from your home institution.
