King’s International Relations course introduces global political challenges through teaching modeled on first-year undergraduate study.
You explore security, peacebuilding, foreign policy and international organizations, then apply your thinking through independent research and collaborative presentation work.
It suits students who want to test their interest in the subject through academic discussion, assignments and museum excursions.
International Relations Summer School is Succeed’s name for King’s College London’s Pre-University International Relations Session 2 course. It introduces the debates and research areas students encounter in first-year undergraduate study, including international security, peacebuilding, emerging economies and foreign policy.
Teaching combines seminars, lectures, workshops and experiential activities. Students investigate a topic independently, produce a structured assignment response and collaborate on a presentation, while museum excursions add historical and cultural context.
The first-year undergraduate focus offers a practical way to test whether studying international relations appeals to you.
Independent research and a group presentation turn subject exploration into concrete academic work.
Museum excursions connect classroom discussion with historical and cultural context.
Named lecturers give students a clear view of the course’s academic teaching team.
The residential option combines university accommodation with meals and dedicated staff support.
Students who enjoy global politics and want to try university-style discussion, independent research and collaborative presentation work.
You want a credit-bearing course or a mainly recreational experience with little academic work.
The strongest value is the chance to test international relations through actual academic tasks. Research, presentations and tutor feedback can help you judge whether you enjoy the way the subject is studied, rather than relying only on an interest in current affairs.
The fee makes this a substantial family purchase, so compare the academic experience with less expensive alternatives. The course is not for credit, and participation recognition should be viewed alongside what you learn and produce.
