Students live on Bradfield College's countryside boarding-school campus, study English in international classes, join sports and activities, and take excursions including London and Oxford.
Oxford International Juniors' Bradfield College summer course offers a residential English-language experience for students aged 9-17 at a countryside boarding-school campus near Reading. The program includes 15 hours of English lessons per week, accommodation, meals, activities, sports facilities, and excursions, with groups and individuals welcome and 2026 turns running from 1 July to 12 August.
Best for students aged 9 to 17 who want an immersive English language learning experience combined with traditional boarding school life in a rural setting. It suits learners looking for a balance of academics, cultural excursions, and extensive sports and recreational activities. The program accommodates a range of English proficiencies from elementary to advanced levels.
Not ideal if you prefer online or non-residential programs, learners under 13 or over 17 years old, or those who seek solely recreational summer camps without an academic focus. It may also be less suitable for students who do not have at least a B1+ English proficiency level or do not wish to engage in structured academic and language development courses.
The Bradfield College – Summer program offers a structured language learning environment within a historic and well-equipped boarding school campus. The mix of classroom hours, cultural outings, and extracurricular activities provides a comprehensive experience for language development and cultural immersion. However, the program involves traditional boarding costs and group-based instruction, which may not meet the needs of all learners or budgets. Consider personal learning goals and preferences for residential study when evaluating the value of the program.
