Premed Projects combines hospital and university exposure with simulations in primary care, emergency medicine, anatomy, radiology, ward work, and basic life support.
Residential options add supervised accommodation, arrival pickup, application preparation, a certificate, and a personal reference. One-day specialist courses offer a narrower non-residential experience.
It suits students exploring medicine who want structured practical exposure and material they can reflect on in future applications and interviews.
London Hospital Work Experience is a set of structured clinical education courses run by Premed Projects. Students encounter hospital and university settings while exploring medicine through demonstrations, simulations, practical activities, and guided application preparation.
Options range from focused specialist days to residential experiences covering several clinical themes. Depending on the selected course, activities may include patient-history taking, emergency scenarios, anatomy, basic life support, ward rounds, radiology, oncology, and reflection for medical school applications.
Students can compare short specialist days with fuller residential experiences under one opportunity.
Published activities include realistic GP, emergency, ward-round, radiology, anatomy, and basic life-support simulations.
Residential students receive supervised central accommodation, arrival pickup, a certificate, and a personal reference.
The program connects practical exposure with personal-statement and medical-interview preparation.
International students can participate, with published guidance on visas, insurance, arrivals, and residential support.
Students testing their interest in medicine who value structured clinical simulations, application reflection, and a choice of short or residential formats.
You need a low-cost or fully online option, or expect independent responsibility for real patients rather than supervised educational activities.
It can be worthwhile for a student who wants broad, structured exposure before committing to medicine. The simulations, application teaching, certificate, and residential reference can provide useful experiences to reflect on rather than merely list.
The main limitation is cost, especially for residential options once meals, lunches, local transport, travel, and insurance are considered. Participation also does not replace academic results, sustained volunteering, or thoughtful reflection, so its value depends on how seriously the student engages.
