Oxbridge Academic Programs
About Oxbridge Academic Programs
Founded in Oxford in 1986, Oxbridge Academic Programs provides residential summer study for students in grades 8–12. Its one- to four-week programmes span Oxford, Cambridge, Paris, Barcelona and New York, with more than 150 course options taught through small-group, university-style learning and cultural immersion.
Teaching style
Courses use small-group, experiential teaching built around discussion, debate, experiments, research and student-led projects or presentations. Instructors also use each destination as a classroom through museums, laboratories, cultural institutions and professional settings.
Reputation & Succeed take
Oxbridge reports four decades of operation and many thousands of students. It holds ASIC accreditation with Premier status and recruits academics, researchers, scholarship recipients and industry professionals from prominent universities and creative fields.
Our take
Oxbridge's clearest strengths are its breadth of subjects and destinations, small-group experiential teaching, academically accomplished faculty and structured residential environment. It is best approached as intensive academic enrichment with substantial cultural and social programming, not as a conventional school course or exam-preparation camp.
Oxbridge distinguishes itself through university-style small-group study without tests or exams, faculty drawn from leading universities and professional fields, and extensive use of Oxford, Cambridge, Paris, Barcelona and New York as living classrooms. Its model combines academic study with a supervised residential, cultural and social programme.
Who this provider suits
Who should choose them
Academically curious students in grades 8–12 who want to explore a current passion or try a university-level subject in a small-group setting should consider Oxbridge. It is particularly suited to students comfortable with residential study, international peers, experiential coursework and a full schedule of optional cultural and social activities.
Who it may not suit
Students seeking a homestay, an unsupervised travel experience, traditional exam-focused teaching or a programme with no application requirements may prefer another option. Applicants should also account for residential rules, curfews, the English-language requirement for most courses and costs not included in tuition.
