Programmes take place in Oxford and Cambridge college settings. OSS is privately run and is not formally affiliated with either university.

Applicants should be 14–15 for the Junior Programme or 16–19 for the Senior Programme, be current school students or gap-year students, have sufficient English for academic study and be academically motivated. University or college students are not eligible.
